Erika Speer

Erika Speer, originally from Long Island NY, is a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with her BFA in Dance Education. She is a dance instructor at The Center for Performing and Fine Arts Middle School and High School in West Chester. She is an adjudicator for Road To Broadway under the direction of Janet Lacava. Erika continues her dance education by attending New York's Dance Teacher Summit where she takes master classes from dance greats like Germaine Salsberg, Frank Hatchett, Greg Russell, and Debbie Dee. Erika has been awarded the Apogee Award for choreographing the highest scoring routines at some of the nations most prestigious dance competitions. Erika has been teaching at the Tap Intensive since its creation. This year Miss Speer will be offering a bonus session on music theory and tap choreography to Tap Intensive 2021 beyond her regular teaching day at Tap Intensive.
